Loves me, loves me not

It's been two weeks since we arrived home and yesterday was the first day I ventured into the craft room. I've been trying to get my brain into gear for some time now and finally managed to create a card for a couple or three challenges..... love (well it is coming up to valentine's day) - pearls or buttons (of course I had to go with pearls as they are my absolute favourite for adding a bit of class to any card, plus they come in so many colours and shape that you can always find the right one to use) - and finally snippets (I missed the first challenge of the year over at the Playground so I hope I don't get detention!)

So with the theme of young love... and I'm sure you all remember pulling the petals off daisies while chanting 'loves me, loves me not' in days long gone by... I created this card using Uniko stamps 'background blocks halftone' and 'flower power #7' and the sentiment from JOFY 13 stamp set. Then to finish off I added a couple of heart shaped pearls.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets'  The sentiment and daisies were stamped on snippets of white card

As You Like It challenge 'favourite pearls or buttons and why'

Uniko challenge 'anything goes + optional twist love'

Next up I've got a card made before christmas using an image from the House Mouse Decoupage cd and a background paper also from a cd (but as it was in a pile I'd printed off previously I don't remember which one). I used silver card for matting and finished of with the last bit of a gingham ribbon tied into a bow.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

CD Sunday challenge 'anything goes using a craft cd'

House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge 'anything goes + option buttons and/or bows'

I'm certainly not enjoying the cold weather we've come back to but at least we haven't had any snow and the sun is peeping through the window today. It seems ages ago now that I was sitting in the sunshine having granny cuddles..... and trying to cool down!  Skype is great for keeping in touch, but just not quite the same for trying to play hide and seek.... I (the phone) keep getting put in a box or drawer!

Thanks for popping by today and I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week.

I love the idea of the loves me, loves me not with the falling petals, and the background is so pretty Kanda, and those mice are such fun and with lots of dimension. I know how difficult it is to get into the right frame of mind having been away and what a beautiful place to go visit your daughter, that looks idyllic. x

Ah, I love these, Andrea! I think your mojo is very clever indeed with this romantic card plucking daisies, which we all remember doing! The textured background is terrific and the pearls do add a touch of elegance! Good job, too, on starting your Christmas cards already!! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Andrea. Thanks for dropping by my blog yesterday. Not only have I put my best dress on and gone to Darnell's party for Miss Di, but I've crashed the Playground Gates and entered the same card there! Hence, I'm looking at some of the Snippet Card entries too.

Came across your delightful daisy card. Simply love it. I expect to see you for a little hooch behind the bike sheds for old times sake!

Andrea, your card made me smile! I havn't thought about this old "loves me, loves me not, ..." game with flowers for such a long time! When I was a child I did it sometimes, but daisies are tricky! ;-) Happy your flower tells the right words!

Thanks for sharing this CAS beauty with us in the Uniko Challenge #51!
