Ice Cream Bunny

Evening everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend.

For this card I started out with a totally different idea in my head but after trying so many different bits and bobs (my technical term for crafty embellies) I ended up going for a small and very CAS design. I used an image from the 'Gruffies & Happy Hoppers' cd and a computer made sentiment. The paper is 'Pink Petticoat' and I added ribbon and gems from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Live & Love Crafts challenge 'ice cream'
Creative Inspirations challenge 'pastel shades'
Crafting When We Can challenge 'bling it up'
House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge 'in the kitchen + option anything goes'

and as I used snippets of ribbon and paper I shall head over and join in the fun at Pixie's Snippets Playground

Birthday Celebrations

Hi everyone, I'm here with a card I made using a LOTV image coloured with my usual Promarkers, with a touch of Sakura clear glaze pen on the wine glasses (but it doesn't show up in the photo) and cut with a QuicKutz nesting die. The sentiment is LOTV and I've been into my snippets box for the paper and ribbon. I added gems and flowers from my stash but had to do a repair job on the larger flower by adding a large gem coloured with a Promarker pen to the centre.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~

Allsorts challenge 'happy birthday'

I Love Promarkers challenge 'anything but square'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets' (my 2nd entry)
Cuttlebug Mania challenge 'bling'
Penny Black and More challenge 'dies and punches' (my 2nd entry)
Stamping Sensations challenge 'flower power'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'too cute'

Thanks for popping by today and for taking the time to leave me such lovely comments.

Festive "Food"

Rudolph Day has arrived again so time for another christmas card. This super image is called 'goose and ganda' from Just Inklined and I coloured it with Promarkers. The sentiment is my own wording but I must admit I've never yet eaten goose. I kept the design quite CAS just layering onto a magazine freebie paper called 'berry merry' and adding a Tattered Lace snowflake and a gem from  my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Rudolph Day challenge 'christmas card or project'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'festive food'
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge 'use something die cut or punched'
Passion For Promarkers challenge 'come fly with me'
Addicted to CAS challenge 'animal'
Through the Craft Room Door challenge 'anything goes'

That's all from me today. We fetched Dad home from hospital last night so we're popping round to see him this afternoon to see what mischief he's been up to! He managed to get 2 scarves made which he gave to the nurses while he's been in hospital - so at least he was earning his keep!

Fairy Sweet

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good weekend.

Just a quick post from me this evening with a very sweet fairy - one of a set of three fairies by Penny Black stamps called 'fairy sweet (or available as digis from Mo Manning) - which I coloured with Promarkers. The paper is a loose sheet so not sure where from (maybe an old magazine freebie) and the ribbon and gems are from my stash. The flower die is another magazine freebie with card candi added to the centres and the little flower spray is a Poppystamps die called 'fairy flower'

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Penny Black and More challenge 'dies and punches'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'flower power'
Passion For Promarkers challenge 'no sentiment'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets' (card for die-cuts and ribbon)
The ABC challenge 'J is for jewels'
Crafty Sentiments Designs challenge 'anything goes'
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge 'lavender and yellow'
Scrap & Craft challenge 'colours of spring'
DP2 challenge 'anything goes with a Mo image'

So that's it from me for now. I'm off to stamp a few more images ready to colour up whilst I'm in the mood. Enjoy your week whatever you're up to.

A Stitch In Time

Hi everyone. I haven't been sleeping ever since my last post - things have just been a bit hectic around here. I never got my early night to bed as my Dad was taken in to hospital. They discharged him Wednesday afternoon and he was readmitted yesterday. They are doing some tests today and then we may have some idea of when he may be coming home again.

Anyway here's a card I managed to get made for a few challenges. I used an image from Joanna Sheen's 'Gruffies & Happy Hoppers' cd which I printed off a couple of extra times so that I could decoupage it. The papers are LOTV and I faux stitched with a white Sakura pen. I added a die-cut sentiment and a snippet of ribbon and pearls from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets'
Sketch Saturday challenge 'sketch'
House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge 'summer fun + option anything goes'
Gruffies & Guests challenge 'die-cuts + option anything goes'
In the Pink challenge 'stitching - real or faux'
The Cutie Pie challenge 'layer it up'
Crafty Ribbons challenge 'animals'
Petal Lu challenge 'anything goes'

Thanks for taking the time to visit and I'll pop round to you all as soon as I get chance.

Fluttering By 'Jaggedly'

I woke up about 3am this morning and after trying to drop back off to sleep I finally gave up and at 5.30 am got up and made myself a cuppa.  Then I got to thinking about Mrs A's butterfly challenge and her 'J for jagged' which is definitely a challenge for me. It was at this point I ended up getting out some papers and started ripping, and in my sleep deprived state I thought I'd achieved the right effect so carried on to make this card.

The paper is Prima 'fairy belle' collection which has been duly 'jagged' and distress inked on the edges. The sentiment is Penny Black which I cut with a Tickled Pink die and the other dies I used are Marianne circlet and Cheery Lynn butterfly. The flowers are Hunkydory and the pearls, gems and lace are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Butterfly challenge 'butterfly + J for jagged'
Time Out challenge 'grunge'
Allsorts challenge 'more than 2 die-cuts' (my 2nd entry)
Creative Inspirations challenge 'shabby chic'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'lovely lace'
Scrap & Craft challenge 'lace and pearls'

So that's it from me for now. Off to watch a bit of TV then an early night as lack of sleep has definitely got the better of me. Gone are the days of my youth when I could manage with a couple of hours sleep after a night out and then manage to get to work on time the next day (no sickies allowed!)

Vintage Christmas

Well we're half way through another week and it's not too bad weatherwise - fingers crossed the sun hangs around for a while.

I've a quick post today with another christmas card and hopefully this year it won't be a mad rush come December. I've not got much in the way of vintage crafty stash but I had this decoupage sheet from Joanna Sheen's Giordano Christmas collection that I thought looked a bit oldie worldie so I teamed it up with some paper from my loose sheets pile and a sentiment and gold peel-off from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge 'vintage or shabby chic'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'oh christmas tree'
Christmas Cards All Year Round 'vintage'

Christmas Love

I'm here with a christmas card using another of my (discontinued) LOTV toppers. I love this little puppy with his hat, sitting so well behaved with the pile of presents. Again I went for the same design as before and used nesting dies to cut and layer onto gold mirricard with ribbon and card candi from my stash. Then I decided this needed a little something else and so made a small tag using my new Poppystamps 'general store tags' die, Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp, ribbon and a small brad. Definitely my style of card - so quick and easy to make and flat enough for popping in the post.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Papertake Weekly challenge 'anything goes + option no patterned paper' (2nd entry)
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'add a brad' (on the tag)
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'anything goes with an image'
The ABC challenge 'I is for inspire us'
ABC Christmas challenge 'I is for I love you / for a loved one'
Cuttlebug Mania challenge 'we love to stamp' (used Grand Calibur)
Sparkles Christmas challenge 'tag you're it'
Ladybug Crafts challenge 'favourite colour' (for christmas it has to be red)
Paper Creator's Crafts challenge 'animals'
Natalie and Amy's challenge 'animals'

Thanks for all your well wishes and for your visits. I'm off to try and catch up with a bit of housework and then I'll be able to grab some guilt-free craftytime.

Up the Garden Path

Hi everyone, sorry I've been missing for a while but I've been feeling a bit under the weather the past week or so. Blogging has taken a bit of a back seat while I've been curled up keeping warm trying to get rid of these nasty germs.

It's my Dads younger sisters 93rd birthday tomorrow and this is the card I made for him to give her. Just like my Dad she's a keen gardener so I decided to make a garden scene using a LOTV image from the 'garden delights' art pad which I cut with a circle nesting die. The card base is 8 inch, the papers are Dovecraft and Paper Cellar and the fence is a Die-namics die cut from a snippet of kraft card. Then came the hard part for me... I'm not very good with flowers and usually only add 2 or 3 but I've managed 12 of differing sizes for this 'garden' and as no garden is complete without wildlife I added a Cheery Lynn die butterfly with a swirly pearl flourish trail. I finished it off by adding a computer printed sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Allsorts challenge 'die-cuts, more than 2' (I hope nesting dies count)
Creative Inspirations challenge 'birthday bonanza'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'anything goes'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets' (for the die-cuts)
Country View challenge 'simply scenic'
Crafting Musketeers challenge 'use a die cut'
Crafty Calender challenge 'things with wings'
Card Mania challenge 'pearls and swirls'
Our Creative Corner challenge 'April showers bring May flowers'
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge 'lots of flowers'

Thanks for popping by today and I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'll be round to catch up with you over the next couple of days.
