Little Ducky

Evening all and thanks for dropping by.

I saw a challenge for a baby card and it prompted me to ink up a stamp I've had for some time and never used. It's a sweet little stamp from LOTV called 'little ducky' which I coloured with Promarkers. Again I went for a CAS style (been doing that a lot lately as I seem to be taking ages to do things and Mr Mojo is still in hiding) and used a hammered card base instead of papers. The card panel was embossed with a Die'sire petite dots folder and from my stash I added some lace and card candi. I used some Xcut circles to cut out the sentiment (a magazine freebie stamp) and then to finish I added a ribbon and tied the bow.

The lighting wasn't very good when I took this photo and I couldn't get the image colours to look right. It is much softer in real life and the card candi is the same pink as the ribbon.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Lili of the Valley Monthly challenge 'anything goes' (2nd entry)
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'lovely Lili + lace'
As You Like It challenge 'favourite fibre and why' (ribbon because of the variety of colours, designs and textures that are available - guaranteed to find one suitable for every card)
Divas By Design challenge 'texture'
STAMPlorations challenge 'stamps + enbossing'

Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you may get up to and fingers crossed the rain stays away.

Sugar Nellie Penguin

Hi everyone, I'm back today with another christmas card.

I've used a digistamp from Sugar Nellie called 'penguin party' which I coloured with Promarkers and added Stickles to the fur on the penguins hat. It's a pretty CAS design using leftover bits of paper, mirricard, glitter card and white card. The dies I used are Memory Box Lindeman snowflake, an X-cut star, X-cut circles and the white card was embossed with a Die'sire grand dots folder. Finally I added a sentiment from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

The Sugar Bowl challenge 'use a Sugar Nellie image'
Sketch Saturday challenge 'sketch'
I Love Promarkers challenge 'snowflakes'
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge 'something round'

Clearly Besotted 'Improvised' Christmas

Firstly I'd like to welcome my new followers and say how delighted I am that you have taken time to pop by see what I get up to.

The challenge over at Clearly Besotted this month is 'christmas' and as I don't have any of their christmas stamps I had to put my thinking cap on. I seem to have bought a good selection of the CB flowers and butterflies but nothing for the festive season. Then I remembered that on one shopping trip a stamp set called 'simply quilled' just fell into my basket (on a whim) so that's what I've used for my christmas card.

I (randomly) stamped two rows of the largest circles in red and green Memento inks, I embossed a couple of lines both below and above these and added a pearl to each circle. The 'happy' is a stamp from one of my CB flower sets and I added a silver peel-off 'xmas' to complete the sentiment. Finally a piece of lace tied around the top with a couple of 'sleigh bells' added to give it a nice jingly sound.

So this is my 'improvised' christmas card - I'm really glad I bought that stamp set as I can see it's going to be very useful and already have a couple more 'christmas' ideas in my head.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Winter Wonderland challenge 'lace and pearls'
Penny Black and More challenge 'get ahead for christmas'
Deep Ocean challenge 'christmas in October'

Autumn Fairy

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying the weekend. I'm just popping by with a card I made using LOTV 'cobweb fairy' - I reckon this stamp would be perfect for any time of year but also for halloween with the spider and cobweb. I decided to go for autumn colours using Promarkers and chalks for the background (although you can't see from the photo). I used some leftover spotty paper and a snippet of orange card, then added a couple of sunflowers and gems from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Lili of the Valley Monthly challenge 'anything goes'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'anything goes'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'warm autumn colours'
Crafting Musketeers challenge 'autumn colours'

I am being rather a bad blogger and not returning your visits as I should but my energy levels are just about zero at the moment. I've been prescribed some more tablets and have a couple of hospital appointments for tests coming up so fingers crossed I start feeling human again soon!! In the meantime I'd like to say a big thank you for your continued visits and lovely comments which are really appreciated.

Clean and Simple Santa

Well another weekend has come around and I think autumn has now arrived with a wet and dull day here today. It's also getting cooler so shall have to treat myself to some new warm winter clothes as none of my clothes fit me now. Anyway enough of my rambling on....

It seems ages since I last made a card using one of my Mo Manning digis so thought I'd get this fabulous Santa coloured up. A very CAS design using a card base with some leftover paper and a sentiment from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Mo's DP2 challenge 'clean and simple'
That's Crafty challenge 'keep it simple'
Crafty Little Fairies challenge 'only one DP'
Whimsy Stamps challenge 'anything goes'

Red and White

Well I seem to be motivating myself to make cards again (and managing to blog them) but I must apologise for not getting round to visiting you as much as I should - I seem to be spending all day getting absolutely nothing done including the housework.

My card today is a very CAS design using a lovely rose stamp from Clearly Besotted's 'happy everything' set which I cut with the matching die. I really couldn't motivate myself to get the Promarkers out so I decided 'what the heck' and left it uncoloured. I used a leftover piece of red spotty paper, a bit of ribbon and some red gems to show off the 'white' rose and added a gold peel-off sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges -
Crafty Catz challenge 'happy birthday'
ABC challenge 'u for unique'
Virginia's View challenge 'clean and simple'

Thanks for your visit today and for taking the time to leave me a comment.
