Pink & Green

I've left this posting a bit late as we've been having trouble with the internet connection, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I can enter it in the Totally Gorjuss challenge in time.

The image I've used is from the Joanna Sheen 'In Other Words' cd. I printed the topper off 3 times so that I could make it into a decoupaged image.  I used a background paper from my scrap box and distressed it more with chalks. The die is Cheery Lynn fanciful flourish and I just added a silver peel-off sentiment to finish.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Pink and Green'
Dies to Die for challenge 'Anything Goes'
Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge 'Distressing'

Best Friend

Thanks for dropping by on this chilly but sunny day and a special hello to my new followers. At the moment I'm in countdown mode as we're off on holiday at the weekend and I still have a hundred and one things to do.

The card I have today is one I was asked to make and it was a birthday card for someone to give her closest friend. I used a Joanna Sheen cd called 'In Other Words' and I chose the image from the quote toppers section and printed it on to glossy photographic paper. I also printed the matching background paper and sentiment. Then all I added was a piece of ribbon and a little ladybug.

I forgot to take the photograph before I'd put the card in a cellophane bag so I'm afraid the picture isn't so good.

I will enter this in the following challenges

Divas By Design challenge 'Friendship'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Anything Goes'
The Squirrel and the Fox challenge 'Anything Goes'

.. And This is Just For Karen

This is a birthday card made especially for Karen and I've used another Mo Manning image - this one is called 'Housework Fairy' and I hope on this lovely sunny day she is enjoying her birthday and taking a day off from housework and cooking.

I followed a sketch and themes of lace & pearls.

I used Promarkers to colour the image and added a few touches with a Sakura glitter pen. The large background paper was free with a magazine (I don't remember who it's by) and the smaller paper with the tiny flowers is Pink Petticoat Wild Blossoms Collection. The dies I used are Memory Box 'swirly tree', 'chloe stem' & 'cherry blossom' and Marianne Creatables LR0129 flower & LR0143 corner. The pearls and lace are from my stash and the sentiment is from one of my Joanna Sheen cds.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Dutch Canary

Another sunny day here, so after posting this I'm off into town to do some clothes shopping ready for my holidays. I'm counting down the days now... 9 to go!

There is a new blog for all Saturated Canary lovers called 'Het Canary. They were giving away a free digi called Dutch Girl for a challenge to have the chance of winning a SC rubber stamp. This is the image I've used and for this card I've also followed a sketch and a colour inspiration photo.

I coloured the SC image with promarkers and brushed the oval edges with blue chalks. The background paper is from Raspberry Road Designs and the plain blue piece is from my scrap box. I used a Memory Box spring border die-cut and the ribbon, flowers and tiny blue gems are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Het Canary challenge 'Dutch Girl digi'
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'It's a sketch'
Cupcake Craft challenge 'Colour inspiration photo'
Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Inspired by a song or film' (It had to be 'Tulips from Amsterdam')
Ladybug Crafts challenge 'First challenge - Anything goes'
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'Anything goes'

Right now I'm off to see if I can still fit in a size 14 or if they've put the wrong size labels in them!!

Gold and Dotty !!

Just a quick post today as I am rushing to get this card in a challenge which ends pretty soon.

I have made an easel card on a circle base. The paper I used is from the Prima Botanical collection stuck on a circle card base and then edged with a gold calligrapher pen. The easel part is made from gold, white and lilac pearlescent cards using Marianne Creatables die LR0180 with a LOTV die cut image. I made some flowers from scraps of patterned paper and Marianne Creatable LR0189 die for the leaf stem. Then I finished it with pearls and tiny punched butterflies.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'All the threes' (3 flowers, 3 pearls, 3 butterflies)
Lili's Little Fairies challenge 'Anything but a square'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes with option of non-square base card or project)

Animal Antics

Hello and welcome to my blog and a special hello and thank you to those of you who are followers, old and new.

For my card today I followed a sketch from Scraphouse challenge because it's such a clean and  simple layout which was just right for the decoupage I used.

This is another of the Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheets from the 'Spring is Mice' collection. The background paper is from a magazine and the 3d stick on butterflies were bought in a dollar shop in Australia last year.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Scraphouse challenge 'Sketch'
Secret Crafter Saturday challenge 'Animal Antics'
Little Claire Monthly challenge 'Best Friends'

Thanks for popping by and I hope you have a good weekend.
