Tatty Ted

Here's my second card of the day and I've used a sketch for this one

The adorable tatty ted is from the Docrafts 'Especially For You' CD  which I've used for the very first time (even though I bought it some time ago) The papers are from my Pink Petticoat paper stacks, the gems from my stash and the sentiment was a magazine freebie.
The card has a top fold instead of a side fold as I never checked before I stuck the blue paper strips - but luckily it actually works better !!

This is for the following challenges
Sketch N Stash challenge 'Angie's Sketch'
Crafty Catz Weekly challenge 'Use a digi image'

Bright & cheerful

Today I've tried to make a nice and cheerful card to match the lovely weather we're having. The themes I've followed are to use up my stash, my favourite colour using a digital element and finally using 3,2,1 elements.

The image is Lili of the Valley coloured with pencil crayons & I used a digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs. The 3 gems, 2 flowers and 1 ribbon were from my stash and and my favourite colour at the moment is yellow to match my sunny mood.

The challenges I shall enter are

Sketch, Spots & Stripes

Hello and thanks for stopping by

Today I've made another LOTV card using a sketch with a spots & stripes theme to combine 3 challenges.

This is the sketch I've followed

The Lili of the Valley image is coloured with pencil crayons and the papers are from Polka Doodles (free with a magazine). I used Marianne Creatables circlet die LR0152 and added silver gems, bow & sentiment from my stash.

I will enter this in the following challenges

I've made this card for a couple of challenges with a Spring theme. I always know when spring has arrived as the birds wake me up every morning and so I just had to use a bird image. The image I've used is from the Joanna Sheen ' Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady' CD.

As I wasn't sure what I wanted the finished card to be in shape or size I thought I'd make a topper & then decide. I cut the rectangle frame from Marianne Creatables LR0111, coloured the edges with Tim Holz Distress Ink 'tattered rose' & placed on a piece of cream hammered card. The image was square so I placed it to the right of the frame and then used the flowers I'd made from the same die and leaves from Marianne Creatables LR0156 to hide the blank part of the frame. I still couldn't decide whether to make an easel card or to make it a larger card, but in the end I decided to use a sheet of card the same colour as one of the flowers and cut it just a little larger and with a top fold.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Another quick post to let you know about the blog candy on Bearly Mine Crafts - some fabulous Cheery Lynn dies - click here

If there are any of you who haven't seen the beautiful papers from Donna then she has some freebies for you to try in her shop.

Clean and Simple

Hello to you all & thanks for dropping by.

This is a card made using an image from Joanna Sheen's 'Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady' CD.
I printed the image then I used Word to type the lettering underneath. I cut the card down and placed on a heavier base card. All I had to do then was to add the ribbon & gold gems from my stash and a 'Country Diary' chipboard sentiment which was free with a magazine.

I shall enter this in the One Stop Craft challenge 'Clean and Simple

Blue and Brown

I started my blog so that I'd be able to join in with challenges and try out new ideas. I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by and for any comments you leave. I have tried to turn off word verification but not sure if it's worked.

This card is a 'Brown and Blue' theme and is the first I've ever made using brown.

The paper is from Paper Cellar and I used blue chalk to edge the base card. It's another Lili of the Valley image coloured with pencil crayon. I have quite a few LOTV images that I've already coloured and are waiting to be used up !!
I used Marianne Creatables dies LR0156 & LR0189  to cut the leaves from brown card and LR0111 & LR0129 for the flowers cut from blue pearlescent card. The flowers were finished off with silver gems.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges

Second sketch card of the day

As I was feeling adventurous I decided to try my hand at another sketch. This one is from the 'Sketch N Stash' challenge.

The two papers I used were from the Pink Petticoat 'Wild Blossoms' collection. The ribbon is my old & neglected item of stash as it isn't of a very good quality - so I wrapped it around a piece of white card to improve it's appearance. The image is Lili of the Valley, coloured with pencil crayons and attached with sticky pads to raise it up. Finally i added the small bow and a silver sentiment put on a piece of white card.

I shall enter this card in the Sketch N Stash challenge 'Sketch'

I shall also enter this in the Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Anything Goes'
