Fairy and Handprints

Hi everyone, I hope you're all keeping safe and well. A little while ago I received a Lavinia Stamps fairy from Brenda over at Floral Fantasies. Anyone who knows her will have seen the amazing fairy scenes she makes with her stamps and I only wish I had the talent to create something half as good! But not to be put off I sat looking at the little fairy called 'Faith' and when I was looking for inspiration I came across the Creative challenge on Lavinia Stamps website with the theme of 'blue + silver'..... so that was the start of this card.

The background is coloured with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides and the fairy stamped in black Memento ink. I used nesting dies to make the card base and silver frame and added some little silver star embellishments to finish.

I wll enter this in the following challenges

Lavinia Stamps Creative challenge 'blue + silver'

Penny Black and More challenge 'anything goes'

NBUS challenge 'Darnell challenges us to get out our Never-Before-Used-Schtuff'

Now onto the 'Handprints' part of the post title. Whilst my little granddaughter is in lockdown and can't have her usual playdates or go to playgroup etc. her Mummy has been keeping her occupied with plenty of crafting fun and other activities. These are some handprint creations she made.... I especially love the elephant.

On that note I shall leave you and head out into the garden to enjoy more of this glorious sunshine. Take care of yourselves and thanks for popping by today.

I am so glad you got to ink up your new Lavinia stamp and happy that their challenge gave you the inspiration. And what a pretty card it is at that, lovely shape and Faith is inked perfectly to pop out from the background.

Thank you for your kind words and also for joining in at Penny Black and More challenge this month.

And what lovely artwork from Asher, that Elephant is really clever, I can see she's going to be a real chip off the old (that words said in the nicest of ways) block.

I have to start with the hand print art! It is so fun and clever!! That elephant really is amazing! There is definitely an artist gene running through the family! I think your choice of a hexagon shape for that beautiful fairy was inspired, Andrea! It fits her perfectly, as do the blue and silver colors! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

It's so lovely to see these stamps being used in a different way Andrea and I really like this look. The stars were an inspired touch too - a really beautiful card. Glad Little Miss Cutiepie is being kept busy with crafts (she's probably loving it!) I agree with you, the elephant is a work of art!! Vicky x
