I'm back..... with a snippet

Hi everyone, I'm finally back in Blogland after six weeks away visiting our daughter and darling little granddaughter. We arrived back very late Sunday night and I've just managed to get the mountain of washing finished so I'm grabbing a bit of time to post a card I made for my granddaughter before I went away.

This is made from snippets of card and paper and uses MFT stamps and dies. On the inside I made a pocket to hold a cinema gift card (so that she can go and see the new Frozen movie when it comes out next month) and I also made a matching envelope. So now I'm skipping over to see the Playmates over at Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Thanks for taking the time to pop by for a visit today and I hope to catch up with you all over the next week....... but before I go I'd like to share a couple of photos of me with a new friend I made while I was away!

He was a very friendly pelican and I think he was rather hoping that my bag might contain a tasty snack he could get his beak into (but it didn't) !

Welcome back, Andrea! You've been missed! Your Koala and Eucalyptus card for your granddaughter is just perfect for her! And those photos of you with that tame pelican just made my day! I've never seen anything like it and had no idea they could become tame like that! Those pelican eyes look like cartoon drawings so until I saw him trying to get in your bag, I thought that first photo might be a paper mache of a pelican! Extraordinary!! (You look great, too!!) Hugs, Darnell

What a lovely way to present the cinema card, the stamps are so cute with such lovely sentiments. I have to agree with Darnell, I actually thought in the first photo that the pelican was resin or the like!! He looks like a very inquisitive chap, hunting out goodies in your bag xx

A cute card for your granddaughter . That pelican is certainly inquisitive. When we went on a Greek cruise a few years ago now we stopped off on one of the islands where the pelicans were just wandering around the streets and standing in the doorways of the houses and shops.
Hugs Mrs A.

Hi Andrea

Your koala hug card is simply adorable & perfect for your granddaughter.

I didn't think that pelican was real first of all. Agree with Darnell that the eyes look drawn on!

I bet you had a great 6 weeks away visiting your family.
