Hi everyone, hope you're all fine.... and to those of you in the UK I hope you had a great bank holiday weekend. I've spent most of it sitting in front of the fan or taking cold showers trying to keep nice and cool, and as it was way to hot to do housework I've managed to have a crafty play.
First up I've got some butterflies....... this is the first time I've played with shrink plastic so was quite impressed with how it works. The stamp is the largest from the Uniko 'English country garden - butterflies' (on sale at the moment!) which I coloured with pencils and cut out by hand so that I could punch the hole. They started off about 7cm across the wings and shrunk to about 3cm when heated (I used a heat gun) and I've threaded them on ribbons to make necklaces for my Granddaughter.
I'm entering these in the following challenges
Stamping Sensations challenge 'things with wings'
Your Next Stamp challenge 'anything but a card'
Next I've got some little meecies who have decided to help themselves to a little outdoor snack! The image is from the House Mouse decoupage cd and the ribbon and paper from my stash.
I'm entering thie in the following challenges
Words 2 Craft By challenge 'picnics'
House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge 'anything goes'
My final card was made using bits and bobs from my stash with a Sylvia Zet Wee Stamps topper and a LOTV sentiment.
I'm entering this in the following challenge
Allsorts challenge 'feminine'
Before I go here's a photo of the cat costume I've been making....... definitely not up to the standard of my sewing of days long past but I think my little Granddaughter will be happy enough with it. But I've just been told that real cats need to have a collar with a bell so I'll have to get the sewing cotton and needle out again! I know it looks a bit freaky all laid out on the carpet but it was the only way to get a photo!
That's all from me for today. Thanks for popping by to see me, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment and I'll be round to return your visit.

Wow! You have been busy, your cards are fabulous and I love the beautiful butterfly necklaces but the cat costume really steals the show - it looks fabulous, you must be really pleased with it. Silly you not realising that it had to have a collar with a bell though, what do us adults know about anything!

Also, I love the costume. Would love to see a picture of it oh her. She'll always remember that you made it for her. I love to quilt when I could but I never learned to sew. I wish I had.
Hello, Andrea! Finally I made it here to see your gorgeous work! And WOW, you've made some amazing projects! I am totally impressed with the cat costume - it's brilliant! Hope you can share a photo with your little granddaugter wearing it - it will be so cuuuuuute! Also in awe of the shrink plastic butterflies - I remember trying this at a card class many years ago but have not tried it on my own. I found some shrink plastic at the dollar store so I might have to stop hoarding it and give it a go! Those House Mouse's look so 3-D - awesome job with your decoupage! And the little girl card is so gorgeous and feminine! Beautiful work here!
LOVELY cards, Andrea! But I LLLLLLLLLOVE the butterfly necklace! What an inspiring project! Kisses, my friend. I am back from vacation.
How cute are those little mice and their picnic of berries?! Thank you for joining us at W2CB!
I love that you started your post with sweet shrink plastic butterfly necklaces for Asher and ended it with a photo of her awesome cat costume! Now I can't wait to see her actually IN it! You've thought of everything, Andrea, especially once you make the collar and bell! I also love your topper cards! You've brilliantly framed them!! Hugs, Darnell
