Fantasy and Nature

Hi everyone, I hope all is well in your corner of the world.... it's rather miserable and damp here and I'm so hoping that summer will soon make an appearance. Mojo is playing hide and seek with me again and my 'get up and go' has 'got up and gone' so for inspiration I ended up looking through some images that I'd stamped, coloured and die cut a while ago.... and managed to come up with a card

This was made entirely from snippets (apart from the base card) The MFT 'magical dragons' stamps were coloured with Promarkers and cut with the coordinating dies and the candles are from Uniko 'big & bold wish' die set. The background is made with nesting circle dies and an embossing folder.

I made this for the following challenges

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets'

Allsorts challenge 'fantasy'

MFT Birthday Project challenge 'make a wish'

Watercooler Wednesday challenge 'all about occasions'

Whilst I was in the mood I decided to make a one layer card using Penny Black stamps 'berry bramble' and a sentiment from 'sweetest moments'. These are both christmas stamps and I'm not sure whether to add some 'snow' to the berries to make it look more christmassy - what do you think?

This is for the following challenges

Time Out challenge 'nature + option one layer'

AAA Cards CAS challenge 'one layer + optional twist only black and white'

Thanks so much for popping by today and for taking the time to leave your lovely comments, which I really appreciate and love reading.

Both your cards are amazing, Andrea. I love the design of the first one and I think that the second one is perfect! I wouldn't add anything. These berries are awesome! Hugs, my friend.

The get up and go comment made me smile Andrea, know that feeling well. But I blame it all on this lousy weather, I don't think I've visited a single UK blog this weeks where people aren't totally fed up with it.

Your first card is really sweet and perfect for our 'Fantasy' theme at Allsorts challenge, thanks so much for joining in. I also love your second card, it's a great CAS example and I think I may need that berry stamp, as for additions, well it looks good as it is and very seasonal, but there again would equally work with a little snow or frost added.

Well looks like your mojo is doing just fine to me! I do love your card for Time Out and if I were you I would leave it just as it is because with that sentiment you could use it for other times of the year. A wonderful nature card and thank you for your lovely comment on Time Out blog x

Two super cards, Andrea. I love the fun scene on the first card with the dragons lighting the candles. Your second card is beautiful as it is, although I'm sure it would look just as beautiful with 'snow' added. xx

Two gorgeous cards Andrea! First of all, the non snippets one is a beauty. Those berries are lovely and, as I can't leave things alone, I'd be tempted to add some frost or snow just to the tops of the berries! But that's just me - looks fab without.

And I adore your drgons snippet card - so cute to have them peeking out of the little holes - great idea! You reminded me I have a little set of dragon stamps as a future Playground prize - think they're Clearly Besotted though. But very similar.

Hugs

Di xx

I'm doing the same thing now, Andrea. Half done bits and bobs are being made into cards or tossed. It does feel great. I love how you designed your window birthday card for your adorable dragons and big candles! And your Christmas berry design is awesome with that sediment! I think a little schparkly frost on each berry would be fabulous! Hugs, Darnell

I would have never known these were Christmas stamps without you saying it - I think they work just as beautifully for a Spring or Summer card. I love the simple design and beautiful colours - thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
