Uniko Passion

Hi everyone, I'm back with some more cards using the February Uniko release.

First up is the wonderful Passiflora stamp set. This brings back so many childhood memories for me as I remember my Granddad having a huge Passion flower trailing all around his large greenhouse and I even managed to grow them myself from seed some years ago. I had a pile of card snippets to hand which I used for stamping the flowers and leaves using various inks and I treated myself to the matching dies to cut them out..... it really was so much easier than cutting by hand or masking. Then I found a snippet of matching patterned paper and stamped the 'thanks' from the 'all occasion sentiments' set. I can see this flower set getting a lot of use.

I'm heading over to the following challenges with this

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use your snippets'

Try it on Tuesday challenge 'say it with flowers'

Next up is 'background blocks graffiti texture' which I inked up in the colours of the rainbow. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this until I spied one of those cute Tim Holtz crazy dogs that I'd die-cut and coloured the other week and that's how he found himself admiring the graffiti (at least that's what I hope he's doing and not intending to add his own mark!)

I shall head over to the following challenges with this card

Stamping Sensations challenge 'somewhere over the rainbow'

Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'cute'

Watercooloer Wednesday challenge 'masculine anything goes'

I really have had fun with the Uniko February release, so thanks again Bev for this amazing giveaway.

Thanks for popping by today and an extra thanks to those of you who take the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it and love reading them all.

Love both cards Andrea - the second one is such fun! I adore the passion flower one and I too grew a passiflora from seed and it still appears each year - many years later! I love the story behind the elements of the passion flower, albeit sad and very moving, whatever your beliefs are. It's a really gorgeous card and you did so well with your Uniko win - what a year kiddo!

Hugs

Di xx

Oh goodness your card has taken me back.i had a glorious Passifora when we lived in London. I have tried to grow several times since moving to Hampshire. Have come to the conclussion that they don't like either the climate or the soli conditions though
I have tried to grow in a large pot.. Your card is gorgeous. Just been to the stamp site and now I am in love with several of their stamps. Finally getting somewhere with our No internet saga as the service provider have at last agreed to send an engineer out to try and sort the problem out. I hope they can as it has been goung on now for over 4 yrs. hugs Mrs A.
