Uniko Passion

Hi everyone, I'm back with some more cards using the February Uniko release.

First up is the wonderful Passiflora stamp set. This brings back so many childhood memories for me as I remember my Granddad having a huge Passion flower trailing all around his large greenhouse and I even managed to grow them myself from seed some years ago. I had a pile of card snippets to hand which I used for stamping the flowers and leaves using various inks and I treated myself to the matching dies to cut them out..... it really was so much easier than cutting by hand or masking. Then I found a snippet of matching patterned paper and stamped the 'thanks' from the 'all occasion sentiments' set. I can see this flower set getting a lot of use.

I'm heading over to the following challenges with this

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use your snippets'

Try it on Tuesday challenge 'say it with flowers'

Next up is 'background blocks graffiti texture' which I inked up in the colours of the rainbow. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this until I spied one of those cute Tim Holtz crazy dogs that I'd die-cut and coloured the other week and that's how he found himself admiring the graffiti (at least that's what I hope he's doing and not intending to add his own mark!)

I shall head over to the following challenges with this card

Stamping Sensations challenge 'somewhere over the rainbow'

Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'cute'

Watercooloer Wednesday challenge 'masculine anything goes'

I really have had fun with the Uniko February release, so thanks again Bev for this amazing giveaway.

Thanks for popping by today and an extra thanks to those of you who take the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it and love reading them all.

Uniko Twofer

Hi everyone, as promised I'm back with some more Uniko makes using a new stamp set as well as a couple of older ones to join in with Darnell's Twofer challenge

The theme this month is 'balloons' so the stamp I've used for both of my cards is Uniko's 'balloon bash'

My Onefer ~

I used both balloons in the set and also the new Uniko 'big and bold happy' and after matting onto some coloured card I added the die-cut numbers. The camera seems to be playing tricks today as the inking looks patchy in the photo but in real life it looks fine... I think maybe it's the texture of the card I used or maybe my eyesight is getting very bad!

I'm entering this in the following challenges

Time Out challenge 'hugs, kisses and a lot of birthday wishes'

Color Throwdown challenge 'light blue, brown and orange'

Country View Crafts challenge 'letters and/or numbers'

My Twofer ~

I used just the round balloon this time along with the stars, ribbon and string that are in the set, as well as a sentiment from Uniko's 'most wonderful' stamp set. Some matting onto gold card and then I added a gem to hide the fact that I hadn't stamped the string straight !

It's turned very chilly here so I'm off to switch up the heating and then try to make good use of what's left of the weekend. Thanks for taking the time to pop by today, it was lovely to have you visit.

Uniko Snippets

Okay so I've really lost the plot this week and every morning woke up thinking it was a different day to what it actually was! Not only that I seem to have been chasing around in circles and I've managed to do absolutely nothing....... and then thinking I'd got my snippets card made early for the next challenge I realised that I hadn't made a card for this one so I'm dashing in rather late to the Playground.

I've used some of my new Uniko goodies for this card - the sentiment and a pretty little flower from a set called 'you are, yes you' stamped 3 times, coloured with Promarkers and cut with a hexagon die, and 'background blocks pinstripe' which I repeat stamped to make a strip. Then all I did was add some ribbon, matt onto coloured card and pop the flowers on with sticky pads. Must admit these are two of my favourite sets from the new Uniko release

I shall enter this in the following challlenges

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use your snippets'

Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge 'photo inspiration'

Addicted to Stamps and More challenge 'make your mark'

The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge 'one for the ladies/girls'

Simon Says Monday challenge 'feminine/girly'

I've been having a play with the Uniko stamps I won so will be back with some more cards in the next day or so. Thanks for popping by today and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Unique and my happy news

Hi everyone, first up I've a CAS card to show you using MFT's 'wild about you' stamp set. I stamped two of the zebras on the background and then stamped another zebra with Promarkers and cut it with the matching die. I stamped the sentiment and added the grass before adding the 'unique' zebra to the scene.

I shall enter the following challenges

MFT Colour challenge

Time Out challenge 'unique

Cute Card Thursday challenge 'anything goes'

Papercraft challenge 'clean and simple'

Freshly Made Sketches challenge

Addicted to Stamps and More challenge 'anything goes'

Okay now for my happy news..... you may have read in my last post that I'd stamped up all of my Crazy Dogs and Crazy Birds and to 'watch this space' well I'm afraid they'll have to stay neglected for a while longer as I was the winner of Uniko's 'Stamps for a Year' huge giveaway as part of their 7th Birthday celebrations.

I couldn't believe it when I saw my name picked - I let out the loudest squeal of delight and jumped so high doing a happy dance that I nearly hit my head on the ceiling! Hubby came flying in the room to see what was wrong and then I double checked and triple checked to make sure it was actually ME that had won. The first batch of stamps (February's release) arrived yesterday and here's what I got

Huge thanks Bev, it is such an amazing giveaway

I still can't actually believe it !.... So as you may have guessed March is definitely going to be a Uniko month for me (especially as I still have some of their other stamp sets as yet uninked).... so now it's another 'watch this space'

Thanks for taking the time to pop by today and if any of you had put your name in the Uniko giveaway than I'm sorry (sort of) and don't mean to gloat. Take care everyone and I hope you have a great day.

Bouncing By

I was going through my stamps the other day and felt rather guilty when my eyes fell upon a set of Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs. I bought these and the matching dies when they were first released and apart from one of the dogs which was stamped straight away the rest have been badly neglected.... so out came the ink and Promarkers and all six have now been stamped, coloured and die-cut.

I saw the challenge theme over at CASology was 'bounce' so what an ideal time to make up a card and let this little doggie have a play with his ball. A hand drawn border and a HLS sentiment and I was finished.

I'll also head over to Simon Says Wednesday challenge where it's an 'anything goes' theme

Now I've only five little doggies left to play with.... oh and six crazy birds which I've inked up and are now waiting to be coloured..... so watch this space!

That's it from me for now... it's a wet and miserable day here so perfect crafting weather if only I hadn't so much housework to catch up with. Thanks for taking time to pop by today and to those that leave a comment I'm very grateful and love reading them all.
