Happy New Year

A very happy new year to you all...... a bit late I know but we only arrived back home on Wednesday and I'm still trying to adjust to English time! I hope you all had as great a christmas and new year as I did and the best present I had was being a granny 'for real' and seeing my little sweetie pie's face on christmas morning when she saw all the presents Santa had left her..... what a Magical moment!

I've not stepped foot in the craft room yet so here's a card I made before we went away. It's a decoupaged image from the Jayne Netley Mayhew cd teamed up with a background paper (probably a magazine freebie) and a peel-off sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

CD Sunday 'anything goes'

As You Like It 'anything goes'

And here's a photo of the scene just a couple of minutes away at the bottom of the street from my daughter's house where we were staying.

I will try to get myself organised and be round to catch up with you all over the next week... as soon as the brain starts functioning and I can work out what day of the week it is!

What a lovely card Andrea - and very appropriate given where you've just been! So glad you had a great time - and the area where your daughter lives looks fabulous!

Welcome home!

A super card Andrea, I love this image - I used for a card for my Dad as he loved budgies.
I'm so pleased to hear that you had a lovely Christmas with your family - it looks like a fabulous location from the photograph.

Welcome back to a dull and grey UK! Sounds like you had a great time with your family and the scenery is amazing. Your card is lovely, it reminded my of the budgie we had when I was a child. xx

A beautiful card, and a beautiful view too. Isn't it lovely to be able to see the grandchildren's faces on Christmas morning, especially when they live overseas and you don't get to see them very often. I had that joy too this year.
Thank you for sharing with us at CD Sundays.

Hi Andrea,
so glad you got to go out to see your Granddaughter as you say there is nothing like seeing them rather than photos or video links.

Love this card and the image of the Budgies.
They look so sweet.
Reminds me of when my Mum had a Budgie and he used to be let out of the cage and he used to eat the polystyrene coving.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Your photo stole the show, Andrea! I only have one question: between your darling granddaughter and that amazing scenery and weather, how the heck were you able to leave??? You must be missing it all so much! Thank you for sharing your pretty card while you get over your jet lag. The loving parrots are so sweet and colorful!! Hugs, Darnell

Lovely card Andrea, I don't know how you were able to leave that beautiful place and your precious family. Don't think it will be anytime soon but I'd love to be a Grandma, lucky you :)
