Birthdays and Bees

Hi everyone, firstly I want to apologise to anyone in the UK who is experiencing anything less than glorious sunshine as I believe the garden parasol we purchased the other day may be the cause of the change in the weather..... we've not used it once yet!

Anyways, I can't believe I'm back again so soon with a couple more cards to show you. First up is a 5x5 inch card with a LOTV stamp coloured with Promarkers and cut into a circle. Then the layout came from jiggling about a snippet of paper I'd got and then chopping the side off the circle before finally stamping the Uniko sentiment.

I shall head over to the following challenges with this

Pixie's Snippets Playground 'use your snippets'

AAA Cards 'the Big Birthday bash'

CAS on Friday 'birthday'

CAS-ual Fridays 'birthday celebrations'

Passion for Promarkers 'birthday creations'   my 2nd entry

Penny Black and More 'anything goes'   my 2nd entry

For my twofer I've used a House Mouse (Happy Hoppers) decoupage that I made up some time ago when I was in the mood for sitting with the scissors and cutting away quietly. I managed to find a sheet of purple paper with little yellow dots, the last little bit of yellow ribbon and a few yellow flowers as well as some purple rhinestones to pop in the middles... so a bit of sticking and job done!
I must admit that after all these years I'm still a sucker for these cute little critters as they are perfect for cards to delight the young and old alike.

I shall head over to the following challenges with this

Allsorts  'insects, bugs, bees and butterflies.

As You Like It  'flora or fauna and why' I do love flowers but they just can't compete with these cute critters!

I'm doing pretty well with my clear out and hopefully when I've got a clearer cupboard and workspace it will keep me craftily motivated. Thanks for popping by and I hope you have a great week and for those of you in the UK I hope you enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

Two super cards Andrea, such a sweet image on the first one and I love your adorable happy hoppers.
Perhaps you should consider returning your garden parasol so that summer can return!

Two gorgeous cards, Andrea. The birthday card is amazing, the image is lovely and your coloring great. And the bees-mice are so funny! Great color combination (purple-yellow). Kisses, my friend.

It's wonderful to see you back with a threefer in your last post, Andrea, and now a twofer here!! They are ALL fantastic, even if you didn't fall all over in love with all of them as you made them. It sounds like things are settling and I'm happy to hear about the sale going through at last! That weight off your shoulders should help Mr. Mojo find room to snuggle up with you! It's been a long time coming! And a bit of a clean and purge always helped me feel refreshed, too! Not to mention a new computer! I'm home from one adventure and leave tomorrow on another, but it's shorter, and then things should settle back to 'normal' for me. Stop laughing! Take care! Hugs, Darnell

Fabulous cards Andrea! I do love how you used the off the edge circle die as well - great idea.

I owe you an email - been gadding about given that this back is fairly settled right now! Playing with my friend's new little grand daughter and she's just adorable. 10 months old so not really so new :)

Hugs

Now why haven't I thought of chopping bits off a circle before now. Looks great as does your mouse card. I opened the shed door the other day and came face to face with one in my bucket of gardening tools. Don't know who was the most surprised but all
I could think of was the house mouse stamps and didn't have the heart to try and catch him. P.s. Don't tell The Doc.!! Hugs Mrs A.
