Spring... At Last

Well I hope you all survived Friday the 13th without anything too disasterous happening! I had a quiet day making sure I didn't do anything to tempt bad luck and instead inked up some of my new stamps and made a card for a few spring themed challenges. I've gone for a one layer card for a change and used a Penny Black stamp 'Potted Flowers' which I coloured with my usual Promarkers, with chalks for the background and I added a Wink of Stella - a gift from a wonderful blogging friend - on the butterflies. I'm really not very adventurous with my colouring mediums and always end up going back to my trusty Promarkers for colouring images - not only do they work for me but I have quite a collection of colours that would like to use before they start drying out (I've already had to throw a few away) !

I'm entering this in the following challenges ~

As You Like It 'favourite colouring medium and why'

Time Out 'spring + optional twist one layer'

Allsorts 'spring flowers or showers'

Love To Scrap 'April showers bring May flowers'

Words 2 Craft By 'the promise of April'

That's it from me for today, I'm off to enjoy the rest of this warm sunny day and check out all the plants and flowers that are beginning to wake up after the loooong winter. Thanks for popping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  1. What an extremely pretty card with your new PB stamp Andrea, perfect for our 'Flowers and Showers' theme at Allsorts challenge, thanks so much for joining in this week. Not wanting to be an 'enabler' but have you seen the new In Bloom PB releases which came out yesterday ? My willpower evaded me and had to place an order at CUL.

  4. Hi Andrea, well I was quite shocked when I saw your card on the Allsorts Challenge as I thought I had done something stupid and posted my card on there, as this was the image that I was going to use but then I remembered my older tulip stamp which I had actually never used before. What threw me was the fact that you have coloured the pots and the background very . very similar to me.
Super card and of course I love the image and your colouring.
You were in our top 5 for last weeks challenge.

  16. A lovely row of pots. My promarkers are my go to colouring medium of choice. Never had any dry out on me so must just be lucky. Hope your new PC has arrived. I have more computer problems with it refusing to link up with the internet unless it is hard wired into the router. At the moment it's the only way to get it to work or send files to the printer. Hugs Mrs A.
