New Home

Hey the sun is shining here today so does that mean spring is finally coming out of hiding? This has been the longest winter for me starting last September when Hubby was rushed into hospital for emergency surgery and with everything else that's happened since I don't seem to have got anything organised! I was quite optimistic when I posted my last card that I was getting on top of things and even got some stamping and colouring done.... but then those dreaded germs jumped out and caught me unawares.  Fingers and toes and everything else crossed I think I've finally shaken them off and can start again!

Anyway enough of my waffling on - here's a card I made using snippets of card and a Poppystamps die 'Country House' and 'Country House roof and background'. I cut the background from snippets of coloured card and inlaid them into a piece of white card, then added the other pieces on top before layering onto green card and the card blank. I used chalks to give a bit of colour to the sky and ground but (as usual) it doesn't show up on the photo. After searching through all my stamps I've only just realised that I've got no new home sentiments so that'll have to be added when I've been on a shopping trip!

I've made this for the following challenges

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use your snippets'

Time Out challenge 'bold'

Poppy challenge 'clean and simple'

Edited: after a nudge from Darnell I'm also entering this in

Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge 'home'

Thanks for popping by today and I'll be around to catch up with you all over the next few days.

Love this card Andrea - it's perfect for a new home. And of course great use of snippets.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather - in a lot of ways I'm not totally surprised as you've been through the mill a fair bit lately!

Hugs

Di xx.

I'm sorry to hear you came down with something buggy, Andrea! I hope you continue to feel better and the sun starts becoming a regular occurrence in the sky! Your snippets card is fantastic! It would be a lovely entry in the current Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge for March where the prompt word is "HOME!" Hugs, Darnell
