Woodware stamps pre-loved candy

Hi everyone, I've been rather busy this week sorting out and doing things at my Dad's ready for it being put up for sale next week so I've not had much time to switch the laptop on. I did bring home a small chest of drawers for my craft stuff and I'm now in the process of sorting through my stamps and dies. I bought these 2 Woodware stamps last year that I've only inked up once and which I know I won't use again.... so if any of my followers would like them please leave a comment below and I'll pick a name next weekend. I know they are quite old designs so if you already have one of them but would like the other, then please say so and I'll do another pick for the second.

They are Woodware 'Christmas Hoot and 'Huge Snow'

(The winner is Anne - claimed)

Hope you all have a great weekend and better weather than we've got here!

Post edited to add a snippets make created by my Dad for me last summer and which I just found in the bedroom drawer. These are leg / ankle warmers he made from leftover bits of wool so I'm going to go and show them off to the Playmates over at Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge

I'll be adding  more pre-loved candy over the next few days so feel free to pop back and have a look.

  1. Hi Kanda! As I'm bursting at the seams here I really need a good slapping for saying I would love the Snow stamp please. I've so into paper piecing - when I take time out from peeling grapes of course!

A tough time sorting out your lovely Dad's house - but look on it as one of the final acts of love we can do and I'm sure he would be quietly happy - and certainly wouldn't want you to be too sad. Bless him, his snippets makes did brighten up the Playground.

    Hugs

  6. Awww Andrea that's never an easy job, you'll keep coming across things that make you sad, and others like the fabulous leg warmers that will make you smile.
Don't be starting to sort out your craft stash, you've enough on your plate so I'm sure that can wait!
Lovely candy, I don't have either but if you decide to share it out I'd love to win the snow stamp that's very unusual

  8. I'm sure it hasn't been easy sorting out your Dad's house, Andrea, but I hope you've had some happy memories as you've been sorting through things. The ankle/leg warmers are terrific! Just what's needed in the cold weather we've been having lately.

I'd love to be in the draw for the stamps, I haven't got either of them. xx

  11. Oh Andrea - what a wonderful last hurrah from your Dad in the Playground! He would have a lovely twinkle in his eye I'm sure. So glad you linked in - they're very snazzy - and also look so cosy as well.

  12. Hi Andrea,
So sorry to hear about your having to sort out your Dad's things.
My sister and I had to do this 4 years ago and it's heart renching.
My Dad lived a rented sheltered bungalow, and they gave us just a week to clear it all out and if we didn't we had to pay another weeks rent of over £100 pound.
The neighbours must have thought we were so heartless, but it didn't give us time to grieve either till after it was all done so heartless of the housing association.

Anything would be greatly appreciated if lucky thank you.
Lots of crafty love and hugs. Jenny L.

  13. Forgot to say the leg warmers are brilliant.
My Dad could knit also and knitted items for the Prem baby unit in his area.

  15. Just popping over from Di's, Andrea, where I saw the photo of the bright and happy - and warm - leg-warmers your beloved Dad made for you! I love them! What a moment that must have been to find them in his drawer and what a fantastic lovingly made keepsake from him! Hugs, Darnell

  16. Hi Andrea . . . I just saw about your Dad in the Snippets Playground post and I'm popping over to send you my deepest condolences (I'm not wanting to be put in your draw thanks - as I'm hardly crafting at the mo).

    Hugs, Sarn xxx
