Christmas Wishes

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my wonderful blogging buddies a very Merry Christmas full of lots of goodies as well as plenty of good cheer, followed by only the very best of health and happiness for 2018

As some of you may know the last 3 months have been a bit of a struggle for me with my Hubby and Dad but I did manage to get this card made for my precious little granddaughter. It was nothing like the one I'd intended to make but Mojo just wouldn't come to play. I've used an image from Di's Digi stamps coloured with Promarkers and with Stickles and a couple of pompoms added to the hats and fur trim. The paper is LOTV, a piece of card die-cut along the top for the snow, some Tim Holtz snowflakes die-cut from foam and a computer generated sentiment to finish. All I can say is thank goodness for paypal as I was able to buy her presents on the internet from shops in Australia so that Santa will be able to take them straight to her on christmas eve!

I shall enter this card in the following challenges
Passion for Promarkers Mega Christmas challenge 'add a sentiment'
Words 2 Craft By challenge 'christmas in my heart'
Country View challenge 'christmas'

Dad's funeral took place the other day and it was every bit as hard as I'd imagined it would be and I even had to endure insults from my Dad's neighbour afterwards. Anyway I received a lovely email of support from my daughter this morning which made me think.... and I have made a New Years resolution which I'm starting straight away -  to find at least one thing to smile and laugh about each day - and so my first smile is my Dad and my first laugh is at people who think themselves such perfect beings who are better than others.

Now before I go I want to ask you all a question.... as I managed to keep my 2017 resolution, which was to buy lots and lots of crafty goodies, I'm just wondering if you think I should carry on with that one as well? - don't knock it.... that's the first resolution I've ever managed to keep! Anyways please be patient with me as I slowly make the rounds to catch up with you all and hopefully I can get myself craftuly motivated  in the new year.......

................. so until then, take care and have a wonderful festive holiday all of you and thanks for being such good friends.

A super card Andrea, such a fun image - perfect for your Granddaughter, I'm sure she will love her card.
I'm so sorry to hear that you have been having such a tough time and had to endure some very insensitive people - it sounds like you have the correct attitude though and I hope that 2018 will be a much better year for you.
I hope you manage to keep your new years resolution and look forward to seeing your posts in 2018.
Take care.

Andrea, I’m so sorry to hear about you loosing your Dad and I wish you peace. Some people can be so cruel, so just imagine how sad and empty their lives must be that they would do that to someone in grief, then try to forget them and move on. I like what you say about finding one thing each day to smile about as there is always something to be thankful for. As a stocking filler, I’ve bought my Daughter a little diary and inside, I've told her to write down one thing each day that makes her smile: then to read it next New Year’s Eve. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and all the very best for 2018. Crafty hugs: Sandra x

Focus on your dear daughter, your sweet granddaughter, and all those good and kind people in your life. May 2018 bring comfort and joy... and lots of craft goodies. Be well, my friend.

Your card for your granddaughter is adorable, Andrea! It addition to everything else you have endured the last few months, it must be crushing not to be able to be with her at Christmas. I hope a trip can be worked out in the new year, as your second resolution to buying lots and lots of NBUS, haha! And I think your new motto will be easy for you to manage as you have a brilliant sense of humor! (Luckily, most people are good people and for those who aren't, sometimes you just have to throw in a good swear word now and then!!) Sending you big squishy hugs and lots of love, Darnell

Hi Andrea

What an awful time you have been having .. .. made even worse by people who sound awful and heartless. I hope that one day they think back on their hurtful comments and they live to regret their words.

My condolences on the loss of your father. Never an easy thing to accept .. .. but hopefully you are comforted by lots of happy memories of times you have spent with him.

I have a friend who has had quite a tough life and she does exactly the same as you and tries to find something to smile about each day and she also tries to make someone laugh each day. She records the smiles and laughs in her diary. She will often visit and as she leaves will say "oh I can record lots of smiles and laughs today" and that makes me feel so happy to think I have brightened her day.

I wish you all the best for Christmas and 2018 .. .. and think you should definitely keep the same resolution as last year!

I shall be thinking of you over Christmas.

Love Jules xoxo

I'm so sorry to hear that your Dad passed away Andrea. You certainly have had a difficult time this year. We all know how devoted you were to your dear Dad and hopefully you won't have to see the neighbour again anyway so try to put her from your mind. You enjoy Christmas with those you love and just try to remember the happy times you spent with your Dad. I hope 2018 will be a better year for you and I look forward to visiting you again in the new year to see what you're making with your new stash!!! Hugs, Barbxx
