Snippets and More

Well that was an unscheduled break from Blogland but I'm finally back with a mixed bag of cards that I've mangaged to get made. It's a bit of a photo heavy post so I'll keep the waffling on down to a minimum so as not to bore you.

First is my snippets card using (of course) snippets of paper and card, card candi and a Lawn Fawn 'scripty thanks' die. I love the versatility and fun style of this die.

I'm heading over to the following challenges with this card

Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets'

Lawn Fawnatics challenge 'black / white and bright'

As You Like It challenge 'favourite die and why'

Next up is a Penny Black stamp 'happy bliss' - embossed and watercoloured with TH distress crayons (birds and flowers) and Aquamarkers (the sky) - and a HLS sentiment stamp. Any advice on the best brands of embossing powders would be greatly appreciated. I have a clear and a white from Hero Arts which are great, but I'm not to keen on this glittery black from Sweet Dixie and I think you can see where it rubbed off especially at the botton of the stems when I came to watercolour it.

I'm heading over to these challenges with this one

AAA Cards challenge ' bright and beautiful'

Country View challenge 'flower power'

HLS Watercolour challenge 'anything goes with optional twist of red' I didn't twist

Next is a LOTV art pad topper with Tim Holtz and Tattered Lace dies and a Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp.

This one is going over to the following challenges

Feeling Sketchy challenge

Scrap and Craft challenge 'hand made flowers' - the Tattered Lace poinsettia

HLS Die challenge 'anything goes with dies'

And finally (as I hear you let out a sigh of relief) a card using up bits and bobs from my stash and a Woodware sentiment stamp cut with a Tim Holtz stitched oval die.

and this is heading over to these challenges

Cuttlebug Mania challenge 'have wings will fly' - oval die cut with TL Baby Blue machine

Noor Design UK challenge 'add lace'

Cards und More challenge 'cards for women'

Crafty Purple Frog challenge 'fabulously floral'

Wow, you managed to stay to the end so a very big thank you for you're visit today and I'll be popping round to see you all over the weekend. Take care and for those of you with sunshine... enjoy it!

WOW! You seem to have been extremely busy card making here. All so different and so classy. I'm drawn to your snowy Winter card in particular in contrast to the lovely sunshine we are having of late. A wonderful bold, bright and beautiful card for AAA Cards and thanks for playing with us this week.

Lovely selection of cards Andrea! Naturally I love your snippets make - and also need to say how much I like the CB mania one (being as I just plonked that DT hat on my head!). The lace is a lovely addition to go with the flowers. Mind you, I also love the other two cards - especially the Christmas one!

Thank you for coming to play in the Snippets Playground :)

What a gorgeous line up of cards! So much inspiration and a great range of styles and techniques :D
I personally LOVE Wow! embossing powders. It is all they really make so they have got pretty good at it. The superfine ones are best if you want to do detailed images but they are all pretty amazing.

Thank you for joining us at Crafty Purple Frog and good luck.

Huge hugs
