Something New

New Years Eve already but there won't be any partying going on here this year.... I had to get the emergency doctor out for Hubby yesterday as he's managed to come down with the Norovirus (probably caught from the hospital when he went for his outpatient appointment on Wednesday) and my Dad ended up back in  hospital on Thursday (this time with a hernia)!

At least we all still have our sense of humour and here's a card using a fun image from Bugaboo coloured with my usual Promarkers. I used my brand new Sizzix Tim Holtz stitched rectangles to die cut the image before matting onto some red card. The background paper is from Raspberry Road Designs, the butterfly is a Penny Black die and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Allsorts challenge 'something new'
Passion For Promarkers challenge 'die cuts / punches'
Catch The Bug challenge 'make us laugh'
Tuesday Morning Sketches 'anything goes' and I also used one of your old sketches

Thanks for popping by and before you go I'd like to thank you for all your visits during the past year.

Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year

I a so sorry to hear about all the health issues in your family. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I am real happy your sense of humor didn't come down with some illness. It is alive and well. Love this card, Andrea. I'm very happy to see you are "recycling". Happy New Year and wishing for a healthier one for you and everyone in your family.

Really fun image and design.
Thank you for joining our 'Something New' challenge this week at Allsorts.

Pity it is a woman and not a male as you may have read that I have loads of 70's Birthday this year and have done the flower pop up boxes for the Ladies but this would have been fabulous for the male 70's.
Not a very good start for you for the New Year but I hope that things improve very quickly and the rest of the year is very healthy.

You are such an inspiration, Andrea, with how you keep your sense of humor under the circumstances! I'm so terribly sorry to hear hubby and daddy ended up back in hospital. What an enormous drag for everyone! I pray they both rally soon! Keeping hopes alive for a Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell
