Birthday Chick

Hi everyone. I'm here with a very quick and CAS card featuring a Bugaboo 'birthday bird' coloured with Promarkers. I used some papers from my snippets pile and a silver peel-off sentiment.

Looking at this photo - can you spot what I've missed?... so I'm off now to colour in the little feather on her head.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Catch The Bug challenge 'photo inspiration'

The Craft Barn challenge 'use 2 papers'

Crafting With An Attitude challenge 'anything goes'

Before I go I was wondering if any of you have had a play with Crafters Companion Gemini electric die-cutting machine and what you thought of it as I'm thinking of changing from my Grand Calibur to save a few aches and pains in my neck and arms.

A really quick peep and hello and apols I might have missed a post or two, internet missing most of the week so a swift catch up while we still have some connection.

I wouldn't have known if you hadn't pointed it out. It's a happy and cheery card and lovely bright colours. The gemini does sound very good. I had a GC and still preferred my cuttlebug except for A4 size stuff. I gave my GC to a friend and got a Big Shot plus which I love. I think a gemini is something I would consider especially on days when the arthritis kicks in. Barbxx

Lovel this card, fabulous image and the feather looks coloured to me.
Sorry but not tried it, I have a Cuttlebug and Grand Caliber but I do know what you mean about the aches and pains you get with it, but I would rather run some dies through once on the GC than 4 or 5 times on the Cuttlebug.

I wouldn't have notice if you hadn't said about the missing colouring! Sweet and colourful card Andrea. I only have a Big Shot, so can't help with your query.

Sending you well wishes for your aches and pains.

Hi Andrea,
what a brilliant card.
Love that cutie bird.
I too didn't notice the feather.
I have recently bought a Tattered Lace Big Blue electric cutting machine, and it is fantastic.
I am not sure, but I think you can't use the thicker dies like some of Tom Holtz and Sissex in the Gemeni so if you have any of those it might cause you problems.
The Big Blue is made by Craftwell who make the CutNboss.
I also have a Craftwell EBosser which I have had for about 3 years now, and that is still working fine just wanted a 2nd machine in case of it breaking down.
My GC broke again just recently and hubby took it apart, and mended it.
He said it was utter rubbish what was inside no wonder so many break down.
A good blog friend says she has the new Platinum from Spellbinders, and she has trouble with the winding of the handle too.
I hope that helps you decide.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
