Sapphire Butterflies

It seems like time's speeding up this year and although I have good intentions I keep missing deadlines for challenges but as Mrs A's Butterfly challenge is 2 Years Old I really wanted to join in and celebrate with her. The magic letter for us to follow this fortnight is S.. for stamping and sapphires.

My mojo's not really been fluttering around lately but then I remembered a set of NBUS stamps from Clearly Besotted called 'Flutterby Dreams' (now discontinued) hiding in the back of the cupboard. I used 3 of the butterfly stamps and a selection of blue inks to stamp a background which I then matted onto some Core-dinations cardstock and then onto a card base. The sentiment is also from Clearly Besotted and I added a Cheery Lyn butterfly die with a couple of gems to finish it off.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Butterfly challenge 'S  for stamping + sapphires'
Country View challenge 'make your own background'
Penny Black and More challenge 'anything goes with a stamp and a die/s'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'anything goes'
Allsorts challenge 'birthday wishes'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'clean and simple'
Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge 'things with wings'

  1. I love your stamped background to bits. The two shades of blue go perfectly together and I like the addition of the die cut butterfly. You will be entered twice into the draw as you have used both elements along with your butterfly. Thankyou for fluttering by.
    hugs Mrs A.

  2. Not one but lots of flutterflys Andrea and looks so effective with the fading shades of blue as though they were fluttering into the distance.

A great card for our themes at Allsorts, Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More, many thanks for joining us.

  3. Thank you Andrea for your visit and very kind comments. One of my best friends has both of her Sons living in Australia and she assures me that Skype is the way forward. She says that it makes an amazing difference in bridging the gap. I've just become your latest follower and look forward to seeing your future posts. I love butterfly cards and this one is just perfect for the Butterfly challenge. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Sandma X

  7. It was well worth digging them out of the cupboard. I do like the stripe up the side and the offset sentiment it makes your card look very elegant. I must remember that!
It is good to see you over at the Butterfly Challenge.
